6 Years of Raw Metal Corp

By July 22, 2020 No Comments

Just over a week ago we celebrated our big 6th birthday and it has forced us to reflect on the growth we’ve had over the last couple of years. First of all, we recognise the importance of our amazing team of staff who understand our goals and values and their families who allow them to put in the hours. We would also be nowhere without our loyal customer base. We have managed create long lasting working relationships and understand the importance of mutual success.

Equipment and machinery are a huge contributor to our development. Raw Metal leaders Brett and Todd travel the world to ensure what we install is state of the art and it is with their innovation and vision that we are able to stay at the forefront of the metal recycling industry.  In recent years we have installed a hammermill shredder, updated our static incline shear and have upgraded to environmentally advanced electric material handlers.

Productivity is something that can always be improved in any business and installing our own Raw Metal Café has even contributed to this. Although the Café is open to the public, it has allowed the staff to stagger breaks and conveniently order and pick up food. This enables the site to keep running at full pace and ensures a quick turnaround for customers in the yard. We have also strived to offer a menu full of fresh and fulfilling options to keep our staff and customers healthy and full of energy. We now even offer uber eats!

Raw Metal is really proud of the community project we launched over a year ago now, our Free Scrap Pick Up incentive. This service is assisting households in removing unwanted metal waste at no cost and preventing hundreds of tonnes from landfill. Our driver Kerry has won hearts all across Brisbane, Ipswich and Logan and has encouraged Raw Metal Corp in becoming a household name when it comes to recycling. If you have any household whitegoods or appliances that you’re looking to recycle it’s easy to book a pick up at https://www.rawmetalcorp.com.au/free-scrap-recycling/.

Overall we are really proud of what we have grown in the first 6 years of business and we are always striving to grow and develop into the biggest and most progressive scrap recycler in Australia.
