My Prediction – Interest Rates Will Continue to Fall

By | News

I have been saying for more than six months that interest rates will keep on falling, probably eventually down to zero in the next few years.
When I first said this late last year, there were many people who said it would just not happen.

Well the trend is now clear that this is where we are heading, as evidenced by the Reserve Bank of Australia decision to further lower the cash rate by 25 basis points to 1.50%. Read More

Why We Recycle

By | News

Why do we recycle?

Recycling has a huge role to play in keeping our environment clean and extended the life cycle of our precious resources.

The importance of recycling is only set to increase as sustainability becomes one of the biggest drivers of our way of life and way of doing business.

At Raw Metal Corp, we are passionate about all things recycling and continue to invest heavily in our technologies and systems to ensure we remain at the forefront of our industry.

We source, buy and collect a diverse range of domestic and commercial scrap metals (both ferrous and non-ferrous) including everything from old car bodies, motors, radiators and batteries, white goods, roofing iron, copper wire and brass. You name it, we recycle it.

With our state-of-the-art equipment at our Wacol headquarters, we then sort and compact these items and export direct to our international customers, who utilise them in the manufacturing of new products.

Through this process, we are extending the life cycle of reusable materials that would otherwise be discarded on the side of the road or in landfill.

We have a strong environmental and sustainability focus across all aspects of our operations and we continually work hard to improve the efficiencies of our systems, particularly in the current challenging international market dominated by consistently low prices.

When global prices are low, as they are now, you do tend to find more metal rubbish such as unwanted cars and whitegoods left on the side of roads or in waterways as well as scrap left around workplaces and homes, as people don’t think it is worth their while recycling.

But, despite the global price pressures, Raw Metal Corp has maintained its commitment to paying the best cash prices around for scrap metals.

The fact that we export directly to our international customers allows us to always be highly competitive on the prices we pay. This is supported by the efficiencies of our market-leading recycling, processing and exporting systems.

If you are looking to get rid of scrap metal, make sure you get top dollar for it. We pay cash prices for any recyclable metals and can arrange collection and removal. It’s that easy and together we are helping to keep our environment clean and foster greater sustainability.
